Central Contra Costa Transit Authority (CCCTA) -A joint powers agency of 11 jurisdictions, including: the cities of Clayton, Concord, Lafayette, Martinez, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon, Walnut Creek; the towns of Danville and Moraga; and the unincorporated areas of central Contra Costa County. Contra Costa County is one of the nine counties that make up California’s San Francisco Bay Area.

CCCTA is overseen by an 11-member Board of Directors, one representative from each jurisdiction and one representative for the unincorporated areas of central county. County Connection provides fixed route and paratransit services.

Fleet Size:  131 fully accessible buses
                   48 passenger vans (Paratransit)

Service Hours:  Weekdays 5 am to 11 pm
                        Saturdays and Sundays 6 am to 7 pm (Limited Sunday service)

Fares: Fixed-route:  Regular fare $1.75, Express fare $2.00 
                               (Discounted fares available through various pass programs.)

Paratransit:  $3.50 per trip

Frequency between buses:  Peak Commute Periods - 10 to 40 minutes
                                          Weekdays - 40 -80 minutes
                                          Weekends - 60- 80 minutes


Fixed Route Service
• Operates 27 routes, including five express commuter routes
• 26 routes provide feeder service to one or more Contra Costa BART and rail stations
• Average Weekday Passenger Boardings: 16,402

Paratransit Service
• January 1990 CCCTA assumed responsibility for three private paratransit operations
• July 1990, CCCTA unified them into one system - the County Connection LINK
• Paratransit operation is contracted out to a private operator, Laidlaw Transit Services, Inc.
• Annual Trips: 135,213 Average Trips per weekday: 377

Contract Service
• Contract service provided for employees at Bishop Ranch Business Park in San Ramon, Chevron USA, Galaxy Office Park, and Concord Airport Plaza
• Free Walnut Creek shuttle service connecting downtown shopping with business and BART
• Ace Shuttle operates between central county park & ride lots and the Pleasanton ACE train station
