In The Event Of A BART Strike
In the event of a BART strike County Connection will work with local police to set up bus stops on the streets surrounding the BART stations rather than cross picket lines to enter the stations.
County Connection will coordinate with BART to design additional service if reimbursement funds are provided. During the summer period County Connection will have additional drivers and equipment that could be used to provide additional service, however, if a strike occurs during our fall bid which begins in late August, we would not have additional drivers to provide service beyond that which is regularly scheduled.
Temporary bus stop locations at BART stations will be:
• North Concord BART - Bus loading/unloading will take place at the existing bus stops on Port Chicago Hwy. and Panoramic Dr.
• Concord BART - Bus loading/unloading will take place at designated stops along Oakland Blvd.
• Pleasant Hill BART - Bus loading/unloading will take place at designated stops along Oak Rd.
• Walnut Creek BART - Bus loading/unloading will take place at designated stops along N. California Blvd.
• Lafayette BART - Bus loading/unloading will take place at designated stops along Deer Hill Rd.
• Orinda BART - Bus loading/unloading will take place on Orinda Way near the Library.
• Dublin/Pleasanton BART - Bus loading/unloading will take place at designated stops along Willow Rd.
